The magazine Iberian Lawyer presented the second edition of the “40 under Forty” awards in Lisbon on 27 September. These awards honour the 40 best lawyers under the age of forty on the Iberian Peninsula.

PLMJ was the Portuguese law firm that took the most prizes with 3 partners receiving the award - João Magalhães Ramalho, Tiago Mendonça de Castro and Pedro Melo.

The aim of this project is to recognise the talent of this new generation of lawyers who are helping to shape the future of Iberian legal representation. Above all, the jury awards quality and involvement in major transactions but these lawyers do not only excel in legal practice. They also play important roles in the management of PLMJ and in the community at large through their involvement in sports, social responsibility and political and academic life.
